The Kiwanis Thrift Sale is closed at this time. Our re-open date is not set yet, but planning is underway. We cannot provide “by appointment” shopping and the Kiwanis Thrift Sale cannot take any donated items until further notice. If you would like to donate money to Kiwanis community projects, that donation can be made HERE.
Per Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive order, and guidance from the CDC we are making changes at our Kiwanis Thrift Sale to support the health of our volunteers, members, staff, and customers while in our building. Some examples of these changes include; shopping aisles and check out areas being widened to support six-foot separation standards. Entrance and exits to our store being separated. New procedures to quarantine newly donated items prior to placing them on the sales floor.
Kiwanis service projects beyond our Kiwanis Thrift Sale that continue during this time include:
- Delivering Meals on Wheels in the Ann Arbor area.
- Making face masks.
- Raising funds to support 20 Washtenaw Community College students with Finish Line Scholarships for tuition, fees, supplies, and emergency needs.
- Preparing a new set of grants to area agencies to support children and families.
We continue to prepare for our re-opening and will inform you as soon as we can establish that date. Please continue to take good care of yourself and others. Be safe.
