Who is The Kiwanis Club Of Ann Arbor?

Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor. We are 135 members and 175 volunteers dedicated to serving the children and families of our community. Membership includes men and women from Ann Arbor and across southeast Michigan. In 2019 we provided over 38,000 volunteer hours. The Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor was founded in 1921. The club organized and chartered the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Foundation, Inc. (501(c)(3)) in 1964.

Since 1921 through the proceeds from our Kiwanis Thrift Sale, gifts and work from our members, volunteers and staff, we have provided over $7,500,000 in grants, services, and merchandise to children, families, and individuals across our community.

Our major service project, the Kiwanis Thrift Sale, used to be open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays (except holidays).  However during the months of April through August 2020, our sale was closed due to COVID 19.  We are re-opening effective Saturday, September 19, 2020.  We will be open ONLY on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm (except holidays) for the foreseeable future.  New safety and health precautions are in place including everyone must wear a face mask, practice social distancing of 6 feet and the store capacity will be limited to approximately 100 customers at a time.  Additional safety practices are also being used. The Kiwanis Thrift sale is located at The Kiwanis Center at 100 N. Staebler Rd., Suite C, off W. Jackson Rd., one mile west of Zeeb Rd., and one mile east of Baker Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
